The Drouin 65 Y.O. Pays d'Auge Conquete calvados, with its exceptional ageing, has been selected by La Maison du Whisky for its 65th anniversary celebration series. This bottling was created like all Drouin calvados: harvesting of the 30 apple varieties, champagne-style soft pressing with reduced yields to preserve fragrance and freshness, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, distillation in the traditional copper Charentais still.
Drouin 65 Y.O. Pays d'Auge Conquete calvados has an empyreumatic and fruity nose, in which herbaceous, spicy and liquorice scents open up into nuances of beeswax, dried fruit and orange, gradually becoming more exotic. The palate is delicate and suave, with beautiful fruity acidity, notes of ash and fine wood evolving into the omnipresent apple, and an aftertaste of chocolate, eucalyptus and incense. The finish is persistent and smooth, with tones of bay leaf, crisp apple, flowers and honey, and an aftertaste of liquorice and ginger.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
