Pour the ingredients into the old fashioned glass filled with ice and mix gently.
4cl Stolichnaya Premium Vodka
2cl Coffee Liquor
This combination of vodka and coffee liqueur appears for the first time in 1949 and its creation is attributed to Gustave Tops, barman of the Hotel Metropol in Brussels. The Black Russian, named for the dark period of the Cold War, was created in honor of the United States ambassador in Luxembourg.
* Try also the White Russian version:
Add 2 cl of cream by slowly pouring it to create a well-defined layer. Do not mix, so as to keep the cream and the coffee liqueur on the bottom.
