Distiller: Remi Landier
The last creation of Jean-Yves Landier, founder and Master Distiller of Remi Landier House, is a cuv called Special Pale, made from family vineyards in the Fins Bois region.
Non cold filtered, uncolored and without sugar, this product shows a great naturalness and freshness which reminds one, in some moments, rum and in other moments Speyside single malts.
Profile vivid and original, with fruit (grapes, then candied and exotic fruit), salt and resins. Dry fruit and spices.
Color: bright gold with green shades
Nose: clear and original. Grapes takes the first place in the aromatic palette. They are followed by candied fruit (pear, white peach), more and more spices (star anise, cardamom) and plants (green wood, bamboo). Oily notes of toffee, milk caramel and exotic fruit (pineapple, litchis).
Mouth: vivid and elegant, it is more gourmand of the fragrance with a stronger exotic presence. Part of the taste exceeds the classic Cognac standards, bringing us to the hearth of Antilles because it clearly reminds one of the rum. Little by little some salty particles recover the notes of tropical and resin (cypress, cedar).
Aftertaste: both warm and fresh. It moves from exotic fruit (banana) tobacco notes, durmast and dry fruit (chestnut, cajou beans). Its tannins slowly tighten the palate. Aftertaste is fruity (white grapes, peach) and the empty glass keeps light spices (ginger, cinnamon) notes.
