Distiller: Gin Mare
This gin is born from the individual maceration in grain alcohol of four different aromatic herbs like thyme, basil, rosemary and mainly Arbequina olives. This kind of olives, harvested in Cataluña provides a real aromatic concentration (you need 7 Kg of them to make a liter of oil). With this concentration, you can better understand why Arbequina has the main role in this unique Mediterranean blend.
Tasting notes • Color: colorless
• Fragrance: fine, very open. Cardamom and coriander give a herby and spicy dynamic. Then almonds and liquorices give a long base on which white flowers, aromatic plants (sage, savory) and citrus (orange, tangerine) are laying over.
• Taste: strong and vivid. Pepper is the starting taste, liquorices, cumin and apricot cores follow up. Other spices (cinnamon, curry) almond and lemon arrive at the pick.
• Aftertaste: sweet and balanced. The green olive, leading actor, makes it a majestic entry. Cardamom and coriander carry it in their arms. In a lower level you can recognize carnation and juicy oranges. The after fragrance reveals juniper, cucumber and cut hay.
