Type: Rhum Agricole
In 2002, Neisson celebrated its 70th anniversary by proposing a 70% rum in a 70cl bottle.
Of a surprising roundness, this white rum agricole brut de colonne is characterized by an exceptional aromatic persistence. It can be appreciated with cane sugar and squeezed lemon.
Founded in 1932 by the brothers Adrien and Jean Neisson, the Neisson distillery is today one of the last two family distilleries in Martinique. The 40 hectares of the property of Thieubert, on which it is located, produce 4000 tons of sugar cane each year, which gives 400,000 liters of rum to 55%. Neisson produces a rum agricole of Appellation d'Origine Contr with an exceptional perfume and aromas.
Nose: intense herbal. It evokes acidic fruits (lemon), red fruits (strawberry, currant) and pear. By oxygenating it becomes more exotic (mango nectar).
Mouth: alive, expressive. It evokes dried fruit (walnut, orange) and spices, licorice stick.
Aftertaste: persistent, bitter from licorice to violet.
