During 1796 the Count of Tovar & Blanco founded Hacienda Santa Teresa, in a valley where cane sugar farming has been evolved during the XVI Century.
Internationally awarded for its quality and originality, Ron de Venezuela became one of the first AOC in the world of rum. Santa Teresa has been collecting awards since 2003: several gold medals, best rum in the world by Spirit Journal in 2003, 2004, 2005 and again best distillate of the world in 2006 by The Malt Advocate.
Aromatic Profile: fragrance is of a rare complexity, from pear to banana, from corn to toffee, from vanilla to tobacco. The taste, instead, is very sweet and rich, nicely matching the cane juice, honey, coconuts, durmast, chocolate, smoke, coffee, dried banana. FInally, the aftertaste is long and dry, somehow smoked with fine woods scents, with tobacco, exotic fruits and dried fruits.
