Officially born in 1703 in Barbados, land of rum origin, it was probably created in 1663 on the property in which the distillery still stands today. Always produced according to ancestral methods, it has an excellent reputation, also worldwide as its illustrious Eclipse version, the version of the range after 1910. The attention devoted to the elaboration and aging of Mount Gay rums and the secret of their incontestable quality, subtle combination of character and seduction. Indeed, they have reported numerous medals during international competitions, especially the Extra Gold version that is today the pride of the distillery.

Nose:very complex, it plays within a large number of registers: first floral and spicy, then fruity (apricot, banana).
Mouth:round, resumes the notes of the nose with more vanilla and smoky notes coming from the roasting of the stems. Plum and mango notes.
Aftertaste:long, on spices and vanilla, with a smoky tip.
