Distiller: Dry Fly
Type: American Whiskey
Dry Fly is the name of this recent distillery founded in 2007 by Don Poffenroth and Kent Fleischmann in the heart of Washington State. Equipped with small Christian Carl pot stills, it relies on a new hybrid cereal called triticale, a mix of rye (Triticum) and wheat (Segale).
This Whiskey is considerably balanced, oscillating between delicacy and rusticity, between softness and tonicity, with a tasty profile, redundant with fruit, citrus, cereals (rye) and cut grass, as well as acacia honey and spices (white and pink pepper).
