Type: Single Malt
First edition of Italian Single Malt, Puni Alba rested from six months up to three years in durmast barrels that previously contained Sicilian Marsala, Pinot Noir from South Tirol and Zibibbo from Pantelleria.
• Color: bright gold.
• Fragrance: fine, balanced. The first very pleasant impression is a cocktail with lemon, white pepper, vanilla and coriander sprinkled with mineral salt. Then, it turns on moorland honey and red fruit (strawberry, currant).
• Taste: established and clean. It gives preference to candied lemons. Later, apples and pears used like a quilt of a bed of hay. Vivid, it develops to spices (ginger, star anise) and chocolate. Salty butter caramel and toffee announce a delicious final.
• Aftertaste gives room to the main ingredients from fragrance and taste, because apple, pears, citrus and salt are back. A few notes of cut hay and plants (verbena and chamomile) are added. The after fragrance reminds one of a lemon meringue cake and pressed oranges. The empty glass is spicy and malted.
