Type: Irish Whiskey
The non-reduced version of the famous Irish Pure Pot Still: Redbreast 12 Year Old.
This is made in Midleton distilleries, south of Ireland. Bottled without cold filtration, it is stronger and richer than its younger brother. Full of red fruit, malted barley and spices, this robin will spend its winter in a durmast forest. With the creation of an appellation dediée Redbreast became the symbol of a Single Pot Still (all actual pure pot comes from one distillery only: therefore it was decided to emphasize this matter, as much as Scottish distilleries emphasize their Single Malt and Single Grain).
• Color: gold with red shades.
• Fragrance: a wide young freshness. The first refrain is exotic summery fruits (pineapple, peach, and banana). The song is playing music from Andalusia, figs, dates, raisins and lemons. The second refrain is more sober and charming with sweet notes of American durmast, vanilla, bourbon and cinnamon.
• Taste: like the fragrance is gourmand over a vanilla sweetness, toasted durmast and malted barley. Later you can taste essential oils, spices, lemon and dried fruit. Final is the perfect end for this performance.
• Aftertaste: very long, rich and complex, an explosion of spices, fruits, and as sherry on the cake, butter caramel to finish decreasing on malted barley.
