Coffey Grain is mainly produced with corn and distilled in a Coffey Still. The complex, sweet and mellow flavors of this expression will help you rediscover the beauty of grain whiskies.
The Coffey Still is the first patented still in the world invented by Mr. Aeneas Coffey in 1830. Masataka Taketsuru appreciated the characteristic of this type of alembic, which preserves the flavors of the ingredients and also creates a particular consistency, so much to become one of the main producers through these ancient methods of production.
The Coffey Grain 45% ABV is the flagship product of this distillery that stands out for its modest production capacity, offset by the majestic ability to produce whiskies appreciated as much (if not more) than the similar Scottish cousins.
