Bottler: La Maison du Whisky
Region: Scotland - Island
Type: Single Malt Whisky
Ledaig 2010 is a fresh and complex whisky, bottled at its natural grade of 57.10% as well as aged for 7 years. Notes of medicinal peat complete the maritime scent of this Single Malt distilled on the Isle of Mull and assembled from seven ex-Bourbon barrels that were selected by LMDW as part of the Artist Collective # 1.2 series for a total of 1,785 bottles.
Tasting notes: initially its peaty, saline and even floral aromas bring the mind to a cold beach of the Isle of Mull during the sunrise. After being woke up, it invites us to explore the landscapes of a palette of flavors constantly located between land and sea. The palate develops on citrus fruits (especially lemons), inebriating flowers, barley malt and ripe fruit. Balanced and mineral, the peat slowly comes up, without exaggerating, while the aftertaste is a perfect combination of fresh field and marine flavors.
