The Montebello distillery was founded by the Dolomie family in 1930, and is located in the small town of Petit-Bourg, located in the eastern part of the island of Basse-Terre, belonging to the French department of Guadalupe.

Born as a small family-run distillery, Montebello, despite having faced the most varied historical vicissitudes and despite having passed from hand to hand, remained practically unchanged until the 70s when it began to grow more and more, becoming one of the most active of Guadalupe; It is no coincidence, moreover, if in France the Montebello rum has won numerous prizes and awards for the competitions reserved for this distillate.
In Italy, the Velier importer and distributor has been able to fully understand the value of this rum, which is rare and difficult to find, thus offering its customers the chance to savor its unique taste.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
