Redbreast is one of the best Irish Whiskeys in the world. Often called Irish nectar thanks to its very precise notes of blackcurrant and peach. East of Cork, in Ireland, is the small village of Midleton, founded in 1180 and where the Midleton Distillery is located, a distillery belonging to the Irish Distillers Group, where some of the most famous brands of Irish Whiskeys are produced, including Redbreast, Jameson, Powers and Spot.
With the creation of an exclusive title, Redbreast has become a Single Pot Still, where all the stills come from just one distillery, just like Scottish distilleries do with their single malt and single grain. Each of these Redbreast bottles is the expression of a perfect mastery of the centuries-old production procedure, which imposes three fundamental principles, inherited from generation to generation by the Scottish Master Distillers: a mash created from malted and not malted barley; triple distillation in copper stills and maturation in ex-sherry casks of first filling and ex bourbon barrels. In 2013 it released a new whiskey, the 21 years old, which perfectly embodied the Redbreast style.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
