Knockando

Scotland - Speyside

Built in 1898 near the Cardnach spring in Speyside, the Knockando distillery owes its name to the Gaelic term Cnoc-an-dhu, i.e. small black hill. The pure water of this source is one of the distinctive features of these Scotch Whiskies and Single Malts which are aged according to a vintage method, i.e. without a specific date, but examining whether each individual case has reached the right degree of ripeness or not.
