Elit®, like every vodka that comes from the Stolichnaya house, is characterised by careful, meticulous production that, combining craftsmanship and technology, follows the product from the raw material to bottling and guarantees maximum quality and purity. Production begins in south-west Russia, in Tambov, where the best cereals are grown on SPI's own land. Also in this area, in Talvis, is the modern distillery where production begins.

From selected grains, a distillate of the highest quality and purity is created through a controlled process of grinding, pressing, fermentation and distillation. The liquid is then transported to the historic Latvijas Balzams distillery in Riga, where it is mixed with pure artesian well water and then filtered through quartz sand (twice), Russian birch charcoal and finally through a filter at very low temperatures. This last 'freeze-out' step at -18°, inspired by the ancient Russian tradition of leaving barrels outside in the harsh winter, allows all impurities to be isolated and thus removed from the liquid. elit® is then slowly brought back to room temperature, brought up to the right alcohol content and finally bottled after a final filtration.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
