ENGINE is inspired by a trilogy of stories from the past that link classic cocktails to the motor world. Beginning with Bentley cocktail dedicated to Woolf "Babe" Barnato and the terrible Bentley kids from London who won the 24 Hours of Les Mans for three years. Continuing with the classic Golden Cadillac Cocktail created in the 1960s in the United States in honor of the film A Cadillac All of Gold.

And finally the Automobile Cocktail. There are two versions. A fresh and aromatic one created in 1903 at a time when cars - known as 'horseless carriages' - were considered oddities for the rich. The second recipe - with gin, whisky and Italian vermouth - can be found in the Bartenders' Manual published by the American Bartenders' Association in 1913.
Engine is an Italian gin, produced in Alta Langa and 100 per cent organic. It is produced in two phases. In the first phase, the botanicals - juniper, liquorice roots and damask rose - are macerated individually, while sage and lemon are used already transformed into essential oils. In the second phase, all the ingredients are mixed together, and the result is distilled in a rotary evaporator. On the palate it maintains an excellent taste-olfactory correspondence with a slightly bitter finish provided by the sage leaves. The final balance is achieved thanks to the sweet notes of liquorice root.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
