The story of 42Below began in 1999, when Geoff Ross, marketing manager of a Communications company in Wllington, New Zealand, decided to produce vodka. In 2003, after completing the construction of his distillery, he began selling his vodka to friends who owned bars in the neighborhood, while two years later he left his old job to devote himself entirely to the design and marketing of his vodka.

In recent years, sales in New Zealand began to be booming, allowing 42Below to enter the spirits market like its best competitors, against which it won every competition. In 2006, 42Below was bought by the Big Name Premium Vodka company which allowed 42Below vodka to penetrate all markets and the best venues including those in Los Angel, New York and UK. In 2008, 42Below is bought by Bacardi.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
