Chalong Bay is a brand new agricultural rum from Phuket, Thailand, an ancestral land of sugar cane. It is a micro-distillery founded a few years ago by a couple of young French people, Marine Lucchini and Thibault Spithakis, who decided to settle down few meters from the beach and recreate the authenticity of Thai rum.

The cane comes only from small farmers, with a careful selection of monovarietal of native Thai quality, totally natural and distilled after only 6 hours from the harvest. Fermentation, on the other hand, does not involve any type of acidification and only an accurate control throughout its long duration.
The distillation takes place in a small copper Armagnacais still imported from France, it comes out at 65 ° and is subjected to a very long aging in steel, from 8 to 12 months, and to a slow and progressive dilution up to the 40 ° degree.
It is now the only spirit of Phuket. The category of agricultural rhum of the East has a new name ...
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
