Raicilla has been a mezcal produced in the state of Jalisco (Mexico) for over 400 years. Most people have little knowledge of this distillate because the most famous mezcal in the world, Tequila, has become so popular that it overshadows all other types.

Jalisco offers a wide variety of agave species, second only to Oaxaca. For this reason, in addition to the terroir, the equipment and the different techniques, the Raicillas offer an incredible journey of flavors and history.
La Venenosa Raicilla was created four years ago in order to revive this mezcal, whose founder has crossed seas and mountains in search of the best producers in each region. The results today are 4 unique Raicillas made by 4 different Master Taberneros, from 4 different regions, of 4 different agave species, with 4 different techniques.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
