Yellow Rose Distilling was the first legal distillery to open in Houston, Texas, in 2010.
The brand pays tribute to Emily West Morgan, known as The Yellow Rose of Texas, a figure from American folklore famous for her role in the history of Texas' independence from the Mexican government;

In Houston, the climate is almost Caribbean with significant temperature fluctuations throughout the year and an average angel share of 15%. Yellow Rose embraces this fluctuation, allowing the whisky to expand and contract naturally. This physical phenomenon helps to increase contact with the wood, speeding up the ageing process. This is why Yellow Rose has no specific age for its whiskies: the liquid is kept in casks until it reaches the maturity and flavour profile desired by the Master Distiller.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
