Islay Single Malts are probably the most sought-after whisky category in the Scottish landscape, thanks to their deeply peaty character.
Port Askaig is a range of single malts from the famous island, developed from the selection of fine barrels from a single distillery whose name is kept secret.
Port Askaig takes its name from the eponymous north-east site of the island of Islay, exactly opposite to Jura distillery. Respecting the practice of the early nineteenth century, the 16 Y.O. and the 19 Y.O. vintages are bottled with the Imperial 80 proof (today 45.8% abv) and the Cask Strength variants with the Imperial 100 proof (today 57.1% abv).
Every expression within the range, from the youngest to the most mature, is selected in limited lots, each lasting about a year.
Each Port Askaig lot guarantees a unique quality consistency: no cold filtration and no type of dye, for the most appreciated Peated Whiskies in the world.
