Signatory Vintage is one of the world's most iconic independent whisky bottlers, which since its inception in 1988 by Andrew Symington has established itself as a leader among selectors of great single malts. Signatory's early beginnings saw Symington invest in what was then the smallest bottling plant in Scotland, starting with bottling Cask Strength whiskies, something that was quite unheard of in the 1980s: the first release was a 1968 Glenlivet ex-Sherry. In 2002, Symington bought the Edradour distillery in Pitlochry, from which the peaty Ballechin single malt also comes.

Signatory buys whisky all-natural from Scotland's finest distilleries, selecting the best single batches and bottling only the finest casks, one at a time or in small batches; in this way some Single Malts are launched onto the market that would normally be found only in blendsand whisky. Each bottle selected in this way has characteristics inherent in the flavor, color, and aging profile unique to a single cask; the distillation and bottling dates, cask and bottle numbers are strictly indicated on each label.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
