Created in 2008, Chichibu Japanese Single Malt Whisky is already known to Japanese whisky enthusiasts and connoisseurs. Aged in Japanese oak barrels, Chichibu is becoming the first 100% Japanese whisky, thanks to the efforts of its creator, Ichiro Akuto.
Composed of two stills ordered in Scotland by Forsyth, this distillery has a very exclusive following: not only is it the first distillery ever created in Japan, but also the smallest existing one. In 2008 Ichiro started selling a range of very young whiskies called Newborn, before launching his first real brand at Whiskey Live Paris 2011. Ichiro's Malt is a wonderfully crafted whisky which, despite its origins, comprehend a complex taste that has nothing to envy from traditional Scottish single malts.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
