Kininvie Single Malt Scotch Whisky 23 Y.O. is the first official release of the homonymous distillery owned by William Grant & Sons, one of the most unknown and hidden of all the Scottish Highlands. In a strategic position straddling the Conval Hills in Speyside, with access to pure water sources flowing into the distillery by means of natural aquifers and near barley fields capable of satisfying the entire production needs, Kininvie divides its operational complex with the Glenfiddich and Balvenie distilleries.


Rediscovered in the eyes of the most following the birth of commercial brands of blend that boasted the origin from this distillery, Kininvie has for many years fed the curiosity of the most careful connoisseurs of the category for having always produced malts without releasing official bottlings - the denominations used include those of Aldundee and Hazelwood - to date.
Founded in 1990 with the establishment of 6 pot stills from the beginning of the last century, the Kininvie distillery has since produced under the supervision of a malt masters team headed since 2011 by Mister Stuart Watts, who has today selected the barrels for this unique bottling. With a double maturing in American hogsheads and European sherry butts, Kininvie 23 Y.O. it is the result of very limited batches, with individually numbered bottles. Launched in preview with the first batch available on the Taiwan market, in the number of 5,000 bottles, Kininvie represents an absolute new in the world of Single Malts.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
