Jin Jiji Indian Dry Gin

India

Jin JiJi was born in 2019 by Ansh Khanna and Master Sommelier Ken Fredrickson, driven by a desire to encapsulate the unique flavours and magic of a country unique in the world. The name Jiji is derived from the Hindi word Jijivisha, used to describe the will to live.

Jin Jiji fully expresses its territory: India. A country rich in unique colours and scents, it has within it an infinite number of world-famous herbs and spices. And it is this desire to pay homage to the flavours of India that drives the production of gin, naturally reflected in the care with which the botanicals are chosen.

Hand-picked Himalayan juniper forms the basis of Jin Jiji's botanical profile. Other important botanicals are tulsi, a local variety of basil that is an integral part of Ayurvedic medicine, ginger, cardamom and cloves.

The botanicals are macerated overnight;  then follows a slow distillation in a 1000-litre copper pot still in the Bain Marie style. .
