Duppies are ghosts or spirits present in many Caribbean legends. Originating in Jamaica, they are known for their great passion for rum. According to tradition, they would be the ones to roam the distilleries and steal the Angel Share, i.e. the best part of rum, which ages in oak barrels and evaporates with time. Like the Duppies of legend, The Duppy Share, an independent London-based brand founded in 2015 by George Frost and Jessica Swinfen, is committed to sourcing the best Caribbean rums, from which it creates unique blends.
Protagonist of record sales in the UK, The Duppy Share is conquering international markets with its infectious energy, and aims to celebrate not only the best Caribbean rums, but the Caribbean as a whole, with all the warmth and beauty they bring with them to the common imagination.

It all started when George Frost, son of the famous journalist David, who is in love with the Caribbean and rum, overheard a bartender explaining the concept of Angel's Share in spirits to a customer; when the story got as far as the legend of Caribbean spirits, or duppies, all the pieces fell into place. In an instant, Frost had found the main idea he had been circling around for some time - to create a new brand of rum - and also the perfect name.
The project was joined shortly afterwards by Jessica Swinfen, an experienced start-up consultant, and for the next nine months Frost and Swinfen travelled the Caribbean in search of distilleries - just like the Duppies. The aim was to find an affordable but great character rum, and the choice soon fell on rums from Jamaica and Barbados. Each Caribbean island has a distinct style: Barbados rums tend to be softer, lighter than Jamaican rums, which for their part are powerful and rich in esters. The harmonious union of these two types of rums created The Duppy Share's first rum, Aged.

The Duppy Share launched Spiced in 2020, a 100% Jamaican Pot Still made from a blend of white rums from Worthy Park and Clarendon, and enriched with 10 organic Caribbean spices, including kola nut and ginger; a well-balanced, level rum, rich in soft pineapple flavours that add sweetness, and with the lively kick of spice to add depth.
The following year saw the arrival of White, produced from the same base as Spiced with the intention of celebrating Jamaica and its culture; created to be the first white rum to be drunk neat and in shots, but also excellent to accompany white rum cocktails, for its birth it saw the creative collaboration of rapper and musical pioneer Kano.
The latest addition to Duppy Share is XO: produced from a blend of various molasses vintages from Barbados, it contains a Foursquare 5 Y.O., an 8 Y.O. (95%) and a 12 Y.O., aged in ex-bourbon barrels in a tropical climate, and then transported to England for bottling. A high quality rum perfumed with violets, caramel and dried apricots, rich in vanilla and caramel aromas, with a rich, slightly smoky and at the same time fresh finish.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
