
Here, on a property of more than 1600 hectares, stands the eponymous distillery, born from the passion and inspiration of five leading figures in the world of blending and catering, including Nick Strangeway, Valentine Warner and Master Distiller Chris Garden. Hepple was born out of a desire to share the breathtaking elements of this region with drinkers around the world: wild moors, aromatic juniper and muffled mists. The main goal was ambitious: to bring the aroma and vitality of juniper from the hills to the glass.






In order to capture the authentic aroma of wild juniper, Hepple was faced with an unprecedented challenge: to completely rethink the way gin is produced. For this reason, one completely innovative distillation system was created: the 'Hepple Triple Technique', a three-part journey that leads to an exceptionally fresh, extraordinarily pure gin.

In the first step, the individual botanicals are distilled with grain alcohol in the traditional copper pot still: a classic 'one-shot' dry gin, which gives Hepple a soft, velvety core.

Next comes the low-temperature vacuum distillation of some of the most delicate botanicals, including lovage, Amalfi lemon peel, currant leaves and, of course, juniper berries, harvested while still green.
This process gives freshness to the gin.

In the last stage, the aroma of the juniper is extracted using a special high-pressure CO2 machine - called a supercritical CO2 extractor, thanks to which a unique depth of flavour is given to the gin.
This technique, which is normally used in the perfume industry, gets to the heart of the juniper while preserving its characteristics.

From the blend of these three different liquids comes Hepple Gin: all the aroma of juniper in a glass.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
