Podere Santa Bianca is a small farm in Pomarance, in the center of Tuscany between Volterra and the sea, situated halfway up the valley of the Cecina river. The fields, 4 hectares around the farmhouse, are planted with olive trees and medicinal herbs which are then distilled in a home laboratory. The collection of spontaneous plants grown in the valley takes place strictly by hand with extreme care, following the life cycle of the plant.
Long and controlled temperature distillations take place immediately after harvesting the fresh plant. From this series of attentions descend essential oils of high quality,produced in small quantities.
Even the oils bought around the world are the result of a careful search for small producers, recognized for their quality by the experience of the craftsman Claudio Gaiaschi, creator together with Velier and producer of Essentia.
Essentia is a new line of cocktail finish, i.e. hydro-alcoholic solutions of essential oils of citrus fruits, herbs and spices, used to perfume cocktails without altering the taste, but giving the drink elegance and prestige through the olfactory and sensory experience that just a high quality product can give.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
