Closely linked to the Haitian soil, Boukman Botanical Rhum is made from sugar cane from the country's two best terroirs: Croix des Bouquets in the south and Cap Haitien in the north.
Only the finest agricultural rhum, distilled from fresh sugarcane juice and infused with botanicals and barks, many of which originated in Haiti, is used for production. The result is a dry, intense and complex spirit with an elegant finish.
Botanicals include native wood and bark, bitter orange peel, allspice, cloves, vanilla, bitter almond and cinnamon.
200 years after his death, Dutty Boukman, one of the early leaders of the Haitian revolution, is being honored through the production of Boukman Botanical Rhum by giving the historic revolutionary's name to a rum produced in those very lands, that is, from two of Haiti's best rum terroirs: the rich cane fields of Croix des Bouquets and the northern cane fields around Cap Haïtien, the scene of Dutty Boukman's rebellion.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
