Buffalo Trace is the flagship Bourbon Whiskey of Buffalo Trace Distillery, a historic distillery located in the most emblematic terroir in the American Whiskey landscape: the state of Kentucky. The distillery was built in 1858 on the bank of the Kentucky River or 85 years after the arrival of the first pioneers on the lands that would later become the state of Kentucky.
The distillery is renamed Buffalo Trace in 1999 in homage to the buffaloes who in their migrations have carved the paths that have allowed the pioneers to settle on the banks of the Kentucky River.
The natural resources present in the state of Kentucky have allowed the development of the production of American Whiskey and in particular of Bourbon. Among these natural resources, the most prevalent is the quality of the water that is filtered through the limestone, thus optimizing the fermentation process and limiting the impact of impurities such as iron in the distillation process.

Produced by the distillery of the same name, Buffalo Trace Straight Bourbon has a worldwide reputation among aficionados. First launched in 1999, Buffalo Trace had an alcohol content of 45% for many years, unlike this version bottled at 40%.
Complex and elegant style, spicy nose, with notes of toffee, cinnamon, vanilla, citrus and mint. Woody and spicy palate. Brown sugar, apples, corn and candied fruit. Soft and long finish.

The result is a Bourbon Whiskey with a very pleasant aromatic profile with a high percentage of corn (80%) which gives a pleasant sweetness to the distillate thanks also to prolonged aging and a careful choice of barrels that gives complexity and depth to the distillate.
An amber-colored Whiskey with a complex aroma of vanilla, mint and molasses. Pleasantly sweet on the palate with notes of brown sugar and spice ending with wood, toffee and star anise. The final notes remain long and soft with great depth.

Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
