The object of curiosity for many enthusiasts since 2006, Malfy Gin is a label produced by Torino Distillati, an Italian company based in Moncalieri that has always been committed to striking a balance between tradition and innovation. The history of Malfy has its roots in 1055, with the Compendium Salernitanum of the Salerno Medical School, a manuscript in which there is a recipe for a tonic and healing wine infused with juniper berries: a fundamental experiment to arrive at today's gin.
Malfy's name recalls the Amalfi Coast, which represents the Mediterranean spirit of Italy like few other places. The premium gin thus produced is made from high-quality botanicals and raw materials. The bottle also reflects the same style, and the technique with which it is made is entirely made in Italy; the stopper is made of real oak wood.

Malfy gin is produced by cold distillation in a steel still at a temperature of only 60 degrees. This is a very special technique, as 60 degrees is the minimum temperature, below which the distillation process cannot start. This way, however, the composition of the botanicals is not altered and it is possible to get the most out of the extraction of the aromas. Before distillation, the citrus fruits are soaked in alcohol and then pressed using a traditional press. The freshly distilled gin is then filtered to remove any residue and achieve a crystal-clear appearance.
Malfy gins are made using water from Monviso and 9 different botanicals: . hand-picked Tuscan juniper berries;
. pink grapefruit and Sicilian blood oranges;
. lemons from the Amalfi Coast;
. liquorice roots;
. coriander;
. angelica and iris;
. cassia bark.
The Malfy range comprises four premium versions:
- the classic Malfy Original: dry style, in which the sharp notes of juniper are muted by the spicy notes of coriander; - Lemon Malfy: soft and sweet, where the citrus notes of Amalfi lemons prevail; - Orange Malfy: a balance between sweet and spicy; - Pink Malfy: the softest and sweetest, dominated by Sicilian pink grapefruit.
In all its variations, Malfy gin can be drunk on its own to savour the scents and aromas of the Italian Mediterranean, or mixed into cocktails to add freshness and originality.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
