Casterede is considered the spearhead in the world of armagnac, holder of numerous international awards since its inception. Now present for more than 180 years and arrived at the sixth generation of Mare de Chai family, it mainly cultivates three varieties of vines: crazy blanche, colombard and ugni blanc, used for the distillation of this precious eau-de-vie.
Compared to traditional two years of aging, this VS is a blend of armagnac aged at least three years. It maintains the freshness and vinosity of the distillate enabling it to be the perfect ingredient for cocktails of strength and character.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
