We are talking about the only one distillery present today in the Arran island. In the early 1800s there were several distilleries on the island and although not all of them were operating legally, they all produced excellent distillates thanks to the geographical conformation of this Scottish region.

The distillery is located in the north of the island of the same name and more precisely in Lochranza where, in 1995, the distillery was officially opened, thus reviving the ancient tradition of whisky on this coast.
Arran produces whiskies of different expressions and years of aging, while maintaining the artisanal production methods and the quality of the material of the past: the whole barley used comes from Scotland and the barrels used for fermentation are handcrafted with Oregon pine. The stills are made of copper and with the swan neck, the oak barrels are ex-Sherry, Bourbon and other excellent liqueurs.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
