The story of the small Tennessee distillery transports us to the 1920s, during American Prohibition. In those times of alcohol restrictions, Mary R., a lover of good whiskey, boldly opened her speakeasy in Chicago, ironically called "Mary's Prescription."
Declaring that alcohol had healing purposes, Mary offered a semi-legal refuge for whiskey lovers. Her establishment became a meeting place for artists, bon vivants and politicians, creating a vibrant space where culture, art and politics were intertwined. Mary's story embodies the resourcefulness of an era marked by rebellion, offering a compelling perspective on the pursuit of forbidden pleasures during American Prohibition.

Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
