Amaro Camatti is a historic Genoese speciality, created in 1924 in Recco by the Leghorn chemist Umberto Briganti, who named his preparation after his wife's surname. Its original recipe, now guarded by the Bergamino family, remains partly secret in accordance with tradition: after careful selection of the raw materials, an infusion and maceration process is carried out, designed according to the characteristics of each individual herb, flower, aromatic root and tonic used. The resulting infusion decants in stainless steel drums and is then filtered to remove any impurities. Components include almond, cinchona, mint, gentian and bitter orange.
In 2023, the Amaro was awarded the prestigious title of World's Best Bitter by the jury of the World Liqueur Awards.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
