Papalin Jamaica 5 years 2024 is the new release from the project dedicated to blends devised by Luca Gargano, driven by a desire to return to the history of rum in the late 1800s, when Jamaican traders began making blends. Tropical blends, which lacked indications of the distilleries of origin, gradually disappeared from the 1970s, when distilleries began selling their products: Papalin therefore intends to take up the oldest tradition. The aim is to unite rums from a single island that have been totally produced and aged at the distilleries.
This release is produced from a blend of Worthy Park aged for five years in ex-bourbon casks and Hampden LROK aged in ex-Sherry casks. In the 2024 release, the three different rums used for the blend are completely aged in their own distilleries.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
