This new Penderyn product shows a lot of balance and finesse. Perfectly controlled, the refining in sherry wine casks emphasizes every note on the aromatic and tasting palette, strengthening its gourmand character. Enthusiasts will like the praline sweetness of this third release, like on a cinnamon cake.
Tasting notes
• Color: aged gold with green shades.
• Fragrance: fine and creamy. Toffee notes shaded with a pinch of salt are side by side with ripe fruits (plums, Mirabelle), fresh nuts and candied citrus. Praline slowly grows. It reminds one of a milk cake.
• Taste: lively, elegant. Behind a bitterish malt, the exotic fruit (pineapple, banana) takes more and more room. Later fresh mint and quince jelly wrapped by nutmeg and ginger.
• Aftertaste: long, gourmand. Vanilla and acacia honey bring a lot of sweetness. Balsamic (durmast) keeps exotic fruit (persimmon) and raisin scents.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
