Founded in 1879 in the heart of Speyside, The Glenrothes was born from the dream of creating 'the most elegant whisky in the world'.
A vision that has guided every production choice for almost a century and a half, from the slow and precise distillation to the skilful use of ex-sherry oak casks.
The soul of the brand is the purest water from The Glenrothes Estate, naturally filtered from volcanic rock: an essential element that gives the distillate its purity and luminosity. Each bottle is the work of a small team of master distillers, and each year only a limited quantity of whisky is released, to preserve its authenticity and natural elegance.

The Glenrothes gets a complete redesign that reinterprets the brand's aesthetics and the sensory experience of the range. The bottles retain their iconic rounded shape, but with cleaner lines and modern details; the packaging, entirely sustainable, adopts warm colours and finishes inspired by copper and oak. The distillery itself has been revamped to combine heritage and innovation, with improved ageing spaces and more efficient processes, while maintaining the philosophy of precision and quiet elegance that distinguishes it on Speyside.
This renovation marks the beginning of a new era for The Glenrothes: a collection that enhances balance, sweetness and aromatic depth, from 15 to 32 years. The new expressions tell the story of identity with a more contemporary and refined voice.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
