Chipotle is a Mexican chilli liqueur produced by macerating a type of smoked chilli used in Mexican cuisine - chipotle, in fact - in white rum at an alcohol content of 55° for a month. After this period, the liquid is cut with water and cane sugar. Casa Tarasco is located in the city of Uruapan, and has been run by the Pacheco family for over a century. For its rum, only sugar cane grown above 1270 metres above sea level is used.
Chipotle liqueur is smooth, warm and spicy, and is perfect for adding spicy notes to all kinds of cocktails. On the nose it has vegetal and dry chilli hints. On the palate it is balanced and rich in round, warm, spicy and at the same time sweet notes. The finish is persistent and lingers on intense spices.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
