Baijiu is the new trendy distillate from China, mainly distilled from red sorghum, although other types of cereal such as wheat, barley or millet are also often used.
Luzhou Laojiao is the Baijiu Strong Aroma mother distillery in Sichuan province, located in Luzhou, at the confluence of the Tuo River with the Yangtze. Here, the production techniques of this distillate have their roots as early as 1400 when, as nowadays, Qu, a sort of mother yeast, is used for the saccharification and fermentation process.
Ming River is a very exotic and extremely fragrant Baijiu. In the mouth it maintains a great softness which makes it ideal to be drunk on the rocks, in combination with oriental dishes.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
