Worthy Park Estate Reserve is composed exclusively of the Mark WPL, one of the lightest in terms of esters. Fermentation takes place in large closed stainless steel vats and lasts 30 hours thanks to the work of two types of yeast combined together: a selected dry yeast and a selection of yeast isolated on the sugar canes of the Worthy Park Estate.
The distillation lasts about 5/6 hours inside the only pot still double retort Forsyths installed in 2005, at the reopening of the Worthy Park Distillery. The result is a rum with a level of esters ranging between 60 and 119 gr / hlap - range of the WPL mark -, which ages 4 years in a tropical climate, mainly using ex-Bourbon barrels.
Then follows a one-year finish in ex-Sherry barrels in a continental climate.

Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
