The "Dreams" series, dating back to 1999, is a collaboration between two Whisky pioneers in Italy, Silvano Samaroli and Pepi Mongiardino, patron of Moon Import. The series, with its unusual label, features artwork designed by Nadia Pini and Hans Piu, and all bear Silvano Samaroli's signature printed on the capsule.
This Longrow, bottled at 45°, was distilled in Campbeltown in 1987 at Springbank Distillery, a family-owned business famous in the Scottish scene because it still conducts every production process entirely in house, starting with malting, and manually, without the aid of automation. Longrow is Springbank's own peat distillate, and here the typical coastal notes of Cambeltown whiskies are paired with a deep, acrid smoke and hints of wet barley that help define an utterly unique profile.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
