Rosebank 31 YO Second Release is a limited edition Single Malt from the Lowlands, and is one of the last remaining examples of the old Rosebank distillery. This rare bottling comes from barrels salvaged before closure and, despite having spent 31 years ageing, has retained a bright and lively nose, rich with hints of lime and lemongrass.Notes of chamomile, berries and banana grace the palate, with a distinctive finish of peach, oak and herbs. Vibrant and seductive, this whisky embodies all the qualities that have earned Rosebank the title 'King of the Lowlands'.The distillery was originally selected by United Distillers as the Lowland representative in the Classic Malts series when it was launched in 1988, but was replaced in favour of Glenkinchie with the belief that it offered better opportunities for tourism. Rosebank was closed in 1993, but was recently purchased by Ian Macleod Distillers.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
