The Glenlivet Capitan Reserve is a Single Malt that, after a period of ageing in ex-Sherry and ex-bourbon casks, is matured for a further 6 months in casks that previously contained French Cognac.
The nose presents hints of vanilla, apples, cinnamon, liquorice and bread. The palate is rich in notes of citrus fruits, pear, sultanas, with a lingering, soft and nuanced finish of honey and citrus fruits.
