Palenque MadrecuisheValente Garcia is an agave distillate produced from the Maguey Madrecuishe in the area of Santa Maria La Pila, Miahuatlán de Porfirio Díaz, Oaxaca, by the sons and grandsons of the late Valente Garcia, a great fourth-generation Palenquero.
This project is the brainchild of Luca Gargano, who involved six producers from various villages in the state of Oaxaca, as well as the project coordinator Hector Vazquez. The idea is to create a map of the terroir of Oaxaca, of the various species of agave and the conditions in which they grow. The producers' approach is artisanal, with a few innovations, but they maintain a focus on the quality of the agave, the soil and the production process, each based on their own personal recipe.
This Palenque should be allowed to breathe and has a rich nose with hints of quince, citrus, cinnamon and smoked bacon. A rounded sweetness prevails on the palate, reminiscent of caramel, with a background of roasted cocoa and a bitter aftertaste that plays with the sweet and vanilla notes.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
