Rum Nation Caroni 25 Y.O. 1998/2023 Sherry Finish

The 25-year-old Rum Nation Caroni comes from a legendary distillery that certainly needs no introduction. It was aged from 1998 to 2023 and then further matured for 70 months in ex-Sherry casks. The result is an aromatic profile in which the strong tannic intensity achieves further depth.

The nose is rich in esters, with hints of bergamot, cola, aniseed and liquorice. On the palate, the influence of the Sherry ageing can be perceived, with soft notes of sultanas and orange marmalade, which evolve and grow with nuances of liquorice, gentian, black coffee and cloves. The finish is very long, very tannic.

Rum Nation was founded in 1999 by Fabio Rossi with the precise intention of highlighting the spirit and history of the places where the selected spirits come from. The main philosophy is to unite a selection of the best rums from different countries in a single series, so that the protagonists are not necessarily the names of the distilleries, but rather the area of origin.
