Founded in 2018 on a beautiful estate near Dublin, Powerscourt has as its distillery manager a hotshot like Noel Sweeney, former manager of Cooley and founding member of the Irish Whiskey Association. And the interesting thing is that so far the whiskeys bottled by Powerscourt come from Cooley itself, distilled at the time when Noel himself was head of operations. This pack allows you to taste three versions of Fercullen, including the Premium Blend created from a blend of malt and grain whiskies; the Single Grain which, after 10 years of maturation in Virgin Oak, goes on to a finish in first-fill ex-bourbon casks; and finally the magnificent 14 year old: this single malt, matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks for over 14 years, has developed very clear notes of tropical fruit, between mango and maracuja. A velvety whiskey with a long, richly fruity finish.

Who was born first, Scotch whiskey or Irish whiskey? We will probably never know the answer, and in the end it is not even of fundamental importance.
What we are interested in here is talking about...

Ireland and Scotland have always contended over the paternity of the invention of whisky, however, there are no official documents and we will not go into this centuries-old dispute, but will rely on...
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
