Nagahama Bourbon Cask Single Barrel No. 313 is a Single Cask produced by Nagahama, Japan's smallest craft distillery, in operation since December 2016. Located near the shores of Lake Biwa, Japan's largest freshwater lake, it uses its waters for its own production. Distilled in July 2018 and bottled in July 2021, this whisky was conceived and crafted by Master Takashi Kiyoi and distiller Yusuke Yahisa, who used a proportion of very peaty barley and chose an ex-bourbon cask for ageing to preserve its peaty character.
Nagahama Single Barrel Bourbon reveals an intense, spicy and smoky profile. Hints of vanilla, toast, honey and peat stand out on the nose, brought on by ageing in ex-bourbon barrels. On the palate, vanilla combines with peat notes, fading later into mouth-watering aromas of caramel, white chocolate and frangipane. The finish is spicy: cloves and pepper with a delicate smokiness. Limited, hand-numbered edition of only 314 bottles.

This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
