Lot No 40 Rye Canadian Whiskey has been repeatedly honored at the Canadian Whisky Awards for its smooth freshness. It is made from 100 percent rye, 10 percent of which is malted, and then distilled one batch at a time in a copper pot still - not a column - at Hiram Walker Distillery in Ontario. The Lot No 40 brand was created in the 1990s by Micke Booth to commemorate his ancestor Joshua's recipe, dating back to the American Revolution.
Lot No 40 Rye Canadian Whiskey has a creamy nose, rich with hints of orange, vanilla, cinnamon, and vanilla, with a hint of violet that suggests cognac. The palate repeats notes of violet, harmoniously blended together with cream and toffee, with a slightly toasty aftertaste. The finish is clean and floral, with nuances of unripe plum and orange.
Distillates have different alcoholpercentages. So, we have defined a parameter allowing you to better understand and compare different prices. This parameter is calculated by dividing the bottle price by the alcohol content. The alcohol content (or strength) is the amount of pure alcohol (ethanol) contained in the distillate.
This parameter indicates the price of a single 4cl dosage of distillate. It is calculated by dividing the price of the bottle by its quantity (expressed in cl), then multiplying by the centilitres of the recommended single dose, as average in cocktail recipes.
